Advantage is seeking a Human Resources Assistant to join our team in Riverside, CA. As a Human Resources Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our HR department and ensuring the smooth operation of our employee-related processes. JOB SUMMARY:
JOB SUMMARY:
With general supervision of HR Supervisor, the HR Assistant provides front-line response and consultation to employees and management in the areas of recruitment, personnel actions, CA laws/regulations, and leaves of absence. Assist with the completion of departmental projects and initiatives as identified by HR Leadership. Provides support to interdepartmental teams throughout the ambulance system. The HR Assistant maintains perfectly accurate employee personnel files. The HR Assistant also keeps the company compliant with employee certifications and employee trainings.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the recruitment and onboarding processes, including posting job openings, screening resumes, and scheduling interviews
- Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations
- Assist with employee relations
- Support HR projects and initiatives as needed
- Maintain and update employee records in the HRIS (Human Resources Information System).
- Maintain compliancy for employee certifications and trainings
Required Skills:
- Effective use of discretion and critical thinking
- Strong interpersonal and networking skills
- Self-directed and resourceful
- Outstanding communication - both written and verbal
Requirements:
- H.S. Diploma, GED, or Equivalent
- Knowledge of CA/Federal HR laws and regulations
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
Position Details:
Job Type: Full-time
Pay Range: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour

Experience:
- Microsoft Office: 2 years (Required)
- 1-2 years of experience in a Human Resources role (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- Professional In Human Resources (Preferred)
- AA Degree with a focus on Human Resources (Preferred)
